There are West End shows, robot shows, full production musicals and a whole lot more. At the heart of Anthem of the Seas is an area known as the Royal Esplanade, which is a dining and shopping district right in the middle of the ship. It is the main thoroughfare for guests on the ship, going from one part of the ship to the other. It is also a hub of activity and stretches from one end of the ship to the other.
More Royal Caribbean
The liner represents a new passenger ship class of all three units, the first of which (Quantum) was delivered in October 2014, and the third (Ovation) in April 2016. On January 31, 2013, the new ship class was officially named “Quantum Class”. On this day were also officially announced the names of the first two vessels – Quantum and Anthem. With an abundance of amusement park-type activities and variety of cabins, Anthem of the Seas draws families, fun-loving couples and groups of friends of all ages. It primarily draws passengers from North America and the U.K. Join the fun at Schooner Bar, where a nautical theme, warm decor and perfectly mixed cocktails come together.
Specialty Dining
We stayed onboard instead and enjoyed the amenities with fewer guests around. The Vintages bar, located on deck 5, quickly became my favorite spot to grab a drink. The experience was delightful, but I only bothered to use it once; it felt more like a trendy sensation than a place to sit down and consistently order. I definitely felt that it was some of the best service I’d experienced on a Royal Caribbean ship. And I loved the soft, jazzy electronic music that played each night. The first show I saw onboard was Spectra’s Cabaret, a stunning mixture of music, dance, and technology.

SPA-LIKE SERVICES
Based on cruiser survey ratings, the ship’s waitstaff has the best service out of all the other ships. I can hardly believe it, but—after six cruises—I feel sick of the Windjammer buffet. My friend and I were seated at a large table, so it seemed that another party was meant to join us. Despite us hopefully waiting each night, we ended up dining alone for the length of the cruise.

Anthem comfortably holds 4,905 passengers and 1,500 crew members. However, you would never be able to tell that over 6,000 people are onboard while walking around the ship. Based on this experience, I’ve written a comprehensive review of what sailing on Anthem of the Seas is like in 2024. After sailing on Anthem of the Seas, I absolutely agree that this is a top-tier ship. I took my first cruise on Anthem this past month, choosing a 7-night sailing out of Cape Liberty and stopping at Port Canaveral, Perfect Day at CocoCay, and Nassau.

Family-connected staterooms are perfect for multi-generation vacationers and there are also 34 wheelchair accessible cabins. Highlighting interior staterooms are "virtual balconies" with LED screens to show real-time views of the ocean and destinations visited. Anthem of the Seas can feel like a floating city with all the activities onboard. The ship bustles with planned events, swimming pools, sports, shows and plenty more.
Cozy up in a seat under the mast, by the portholes, or right by the gleaming grand piano. You don’t have to stray too far from your poolside lounge to enjoy a frozen Mojito, exotic Mai Tai, Virgin Daiquiri, cool imported pilsner and more. Meet two robotic bartenders who know how to shake up your night out.
If you plan on spending a lot of time on your cruise enjoying drinks, it may be worth it to pre-purchase a Deluxe Beverage Package. By purchasing a beverage package, you can have an unlimited amount of drinks throughout the cruise without worrying about the individual cost of each beverage. A. Quantum-class ships are in demand all over the world, and Royal Caribbean is giving everyone the chance to check them out. (In total, the company has 23 ships located across the globe.) Anthem is anchoring in New York as of November 2015, and it will stay there for good.

Each of the four main restaurants already has two versions of the menu, with regional dishes also been added. In total, the ship features 18 dining venues, including one -- Jamie's Italian -- created in association with a celebrity chef. Also onboard is a restaurant called Wonderland, which is the cruise line's first real foray into molecular gastronomy. You'll pay for a number of the restaurants, but the extra-fee venues by far offer the best food onboard.

If live music is more your thing, each night in Music Hall there will be live performances to enjoy, which you can get up and dance to or simply take it all in. Music Hall is part rock 'n roll and part club, rolled into one. With 2,090 staterooms and 16 guest decks, the ship has ample space for all 4,095 passengers on board. Anthem of the Seas has a stateroom option for any budget, from small studio cabins for solo travelers to lavish loft suites.
On Anthem, however, I only enjoyed a third of the Indian dishes I tried. But it was a little frustrating to look at a menu and never know if I would enjoy what I ordered. For example, even though the Royal Esplanade is a long, open space, it is separated into two floors, which spread out the space. The Quantum Class was first released in 2014, pioneering five marvelous ships with unique itineraries. Our goal has been to provide our readers with expansive coverage of all aspects of the Royal Caribbean experience.
